Generic Drugs can save you a lot of money, that is the fact and it is an advantage over a brand-name prescription drug. A generic drug (generic drugs, short: generics) is a drug which is produced and distributed without patent protection. A generic drug is a copy of a brand-name drug and can be used in many situations. They are used for example for hypertension, diabetes. The generic drug may still have a patent on the formulation but not on the active ingredient, according to Wikipedia. A generic drug must contain the same active ingredients as the brand-name prescription drug formulation. It is meant to have the same in therapeutic effect as the brand-name drug, and the side effects go with it.

Some side effects symptoms may be severe and you must tell your doctor as soon as you are aware of them. Adverse effects symptoms of a medication may include Diarrhea, Constipation, Vomiting, Loss of apetite, Weight changes, Drowsiness, Dizziness, Headache, Nervousness, Excitment, Sore throat, Change in sex drive or ability, Excessive sweating, fainting, seizure.
